In this article, you will learn how to structure your media library with custom tags and find media assets more quickly.
What Are Media Tags?
Media tags are categories that can be added in the Media Form for each media item to provide additional information and describe the media asset in more detail, for example by media type, topic, or department. You can later use this information as filters to find the appropriate media asset in the library.
Media tags are stored and configured individually for your organization. Once media tags have been set up, you will find them in the Tags section of the Media Form.
Structure of Media Tags
Each tag consists of a category (e.g., media type) and the corresponding selection field. For the selection field, predefined entries can be specified, which the creator of the media asset selects from a list, for example PDF, photo, or illustration. However, the fields can also be filled in manually. Entries that have been entered manually are saved and can then be reused by all users in the organization in this field.
Individual tags or all of the tags can be mandatory. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk and must be set by the creator of the media asset before it can be saved.

Displaying Media Tags
Tags are displayed as filters in the media search. On the left, you will find the categories in the Tags section.
