Using content animations

Modified on Thu, 24 Apr at 6:03 PM

Animated content makes content seem more lively, and a delayed fade-in can help reduce cognitive load during learning. However, animations may be unsuitable for some target audiences or display devices. This article explains how you can enable and disable content animations.

Activating and deactivating content animations per section

  1. Open the content you want to edit in the Content Editor.
  2. Focus the section you want to customize:
    • Click on the whitespace in the margin area of the section, or
    • Select the Section element in the footer while an element within the section is focused.
  3. In the settings bar, under Section > Content Animation, the animation for the selected section can be set using the Enable checkbox.
    • Activate the setting if fade-in effects should be used for the section.
    • Deactivate the setting if no fade-in effects should be used for the section.

Deactivating content animations centrally

If you generally do not want to use content animations, a setting in the layout theme can be used to disable them. Please contact our support team to make this change.
