How to move objects of a course between domains

Modified on Mon, 23 Sep at 2:20 PM

If multiple domains are available to you in Knowledgeworker Create, you can use the function “Change Workspace” to move courses with the included objects to another domain or workspace. This function helps collect courses with a specific editing status in one workspace, for example.

Change Workspace Function

Feel free to contact us if you would like to activate this function for your courses.
Once the function is enabled, it will be available in the course search under More.

Screenshot of the Change Workspace option in the More menuIn the dialog, you can specify the desired workspace where the course and all linked elements will be moved.

Which objects are affected by the Change Workspace function?

In addition to the course itself, the following objects that are linked in the course and located in the same domain will be moved to the specified workspace:

  • Learning objectives
  • Sharable Content Objects
  • Questions
  • Glossary terms
  • Media
  • References

Optionally, in the Change Workspace dialog, you can choose whether to transfer tasks within the course to the new workspace.
Please note that no objects can be moved that are not in the same domain as the course.
The domain a course belongs to is recorded in the General tab of the course settings.
