Assigning posts

Modified on Wed, 12 Aug at 5:42 PM

Knowledgeworker Share provides five enrolment methods for assigning selected posts to your users in a targeted way: category values, rules, curricula, vouchers, and manual assignment. These methods allow administrators to enrol users flexibly and purposefully in the relevant training or learning posts. This article briefly introduces each method.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. Assignment through category values

In category-based assignment, category values are assigned to users and posts either when they are created or when they are edited later, enabling automatic enrolment.

For assignment to succeed, users and posts must have at least one value from each category. A user and post must match in at least one value in each category for an assignment to occur.

Categories can include location, language, or area of work, for example. With minimal effort, they make it possible to define an individual target group for every post.

2. Assignment through rules

With rule-based assignment, if-then relationships are used to make enrolments automatically. You can select and define different conditions as prerequisites for each automatic enrolment.

When multiple conditions are selected, they are combined with AND: the associated action is performed only when every defined condition is fulfilled. For example, all users who have completed post A can be enrolled automatically in post B after 12 months.

3. Assignment through curricula

When several posts should be assigned at the same time, combine them into a curriculum. Enrol all users who should complete the curriculum in a user group. This enrolment is independent of the assigned category values.

One or more curricula can be assigned to user groups. All users in the user group are then automatically enrolled in the posts included in the curriculum. A curriculum can also be assigned to multiple user groups.

4. Assignment through voucher codes

You can create and send voucher codes easily to invite users to your learning system. They can then register independently using the voucher codes. When creating vouchers, you can specify whether, and in which categories, user groups, or specific posts, the user who redeems the voucher should be enrolled.

Example: assignment through a voucher code

5. Manual assignment

Users can also be enrolled manually in individual posts. In advanced post editing, assign users through user search or by entering their user names (login). Manual enrolment by entering the login can also be performed through CSV import.

With the appropriate administrative permissions, you can manage enrolments in the relevant posts in advanced post editing or in enrolment reports.

Example: manual assignment
