Setting Navigation Restrictions in Courses

With navigation restrictions, you can ensure that learners, for example, work through the chapters of a course in the intended order and only access new content once previous chapters or tasks have been completed. 

This can be implemented in two ways: either for the entire course through the course settings or for individual chapters via the visibility options at the learning objective level. For instance, a foundational chapter can be made a prerequisite for advanced content, or completing a pre-test can be required before finishing subsequent chapters.
