Setting a Time Limit for Questions

If you want to set a time limit for learners to answer questions, the following requirements must be met:

• The relevant questions are included in a questionnaire.
• The questionnaire is displayed as a stack.
• The questions are not evaluated individually.

Activate Time Limit

1. Add a Scored Questionnaire (for scored questions) or a Trial Questionnaire (for trial questions) to your course.
2. Select the questionnaire. In the settings on the right side, go to the Questions tab and add the relevant questions to the questionnaire.
3. Open the Questionnaire tab and go to the section Other Configuration:
   Enable the option Show as stack. Now you can enter a Time limit (in minutes).

Displaying the Time Limit for Learners

The start page of the questionnaire stack is automatically activated as soon as a time limit is entered. The time is displayed to learners on the start page. Once the question stack is started, learners will see the remaining time at the top of the question stack.
