How to Publish Content without an LMS

Even outside a learning management system (LMS), you can provide content to your learners. Learn more about the individual options here.

Publication as a web package with kw.my link

During the export as a web package, a password-protected link is generated that allows learners to access the content online.

Start the export dialog via "Share" on the course.
Select the "Web Package" option from the export options.
Then select the languages in which you want to publish the content. Learn more about multi-language export here.
After exporting, start the creation of the web package via "Share on Web".
In the subsequent dialog, you have the following customization options:

Download a QR code that leads to the published content (in addition to or instead of the link)
Define the publication duration: 30 days or 3 months

Now complete the export. You can view the published web packages with their respective publication duration and password under Share in the Existing web publishings tab or up to 3 days after the export in your profile. If needed, you can change or remove the password.

Publication on your web server

To prepare for publication on your web server, generate a downloadable package of your course.

For this option, also start the export as a web package via "Share". Multi-language export is also possible here.
After exporting, download an HTML package as a zip file via "Save as File".
Access the server overview where you want to publish the package via an FTP connection.
Create a new directory in the server structure or select an empty directory.
Unpack the HTML package and upload the unpacked content to the empty directory. The URL assigned to this directory is the URL where learners can access the content.

Please note: When publishing outside an LMS, tracking of learner data is limited. Feel free to contact us if you have additional requirements regarding the tracking of your content.
