How to integrate a Vimeo video in Knowledgeworker Create

Modified on Wed, 8 Jan at 4:15 PM

Would you like to use a Vimeo video as part of your learning content in Knowledgeworker Create? This article explains how to embed a Vimeo video into your content.

Copy the Embed Link from Vimeo

Make sure to generate the correct embed link from Vimeo. The URL you use to access the video in your browser is not the link required for embedding as a stream.

You can obtain the embed link as follows:

  • Open the video on Vimeo.
  • Share the video and choose the Embed option.
  • Copy the URL from the embed code (the URL is found between quotation marks).

An alternative way to obtain the link if the video is not publicly accessible:

  • Log into your Vimeo account.
  • Open the video in your library.
  • Open the three-dot menu and select Links to Video Files.
  • Copy the link in the desired format.

Embed the Vimeo Video

  1. Add a new medium to your content.

    • Open a course or Sharable Content Object in the editor.

    • Drag and drop a medium into the content area.

  2. Set up the Vimeo video as a medium

    • Click on the placeholder for the medium to be added. Select Media Asset from Library.

    • Click on Create New Media Asset.

    • Enter the language and a lable for the Vimeo video.

    • Choose the file type Video Stream and paste the video link into the Video Stream URL field. Assign any file name you prefer.

    • Specify the height and width for optimal display; a typical video format is 1280x720.

  3. Select Save and Close. The Vimeo video is now set up as a medium and embedded in your content.
