With this type of navigation, learners use arrows at the bottom of the screen to navigate to the previous or next element. Depending on the selected settings, the next element can be a learning objective, Sharable Content Object (SCO) or section. This configuration option allows courses to be clearly structured according to their scope and thus contributes to clarity.
The pagination at the bottom is activated in the editor via the course settings in the Navigation section. Here you can also select whether learning objectives, SCOs or sections form the basis for the navigation.
If pagination at bottom is not activated, scroll navigation is used in the course by default.
Other Navigation Settings
The following options can also be selected - both for scroll navigation and for pagination at bottom:
Display navigation in the header if there is sufficient space: Depending on the screen size, an alternative menu display is shown at the top of the screen as a header navigation, which provides an overview of the learning objectives. Learners can select a learning objective directly by clicking on it.
All relevant content must be seen before the navigation to the next page is activated: The navigation arrows for the next element are only active for learners once all relevant content has been viewed or clicked on the respective page. In this case, check the relevance settings of your content elements, if necessary, to ensure that important content is marked accordingly or that content to be visited voluntarily is excluded from relevance.
