Entering a Password for Web Exports Is Suppressed in Microsoft Edge Browser

Modified on Tue, 1 Oct at 2:10 PM

You have published a Knowledgeworker Create course as a web export to share it with others. In Microsoft Edge, depending on the browser's configuration, an error message may appear when the link is opened. The input mask for entering the password will not appear in such cases.

Possible solutions:

Use a different browser to open the link.
If using a different browser is not possible, you can remove the password for the web export. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Create a web package via Share.

  2. Once the export is complete, open Share again and find the web package under Existing web publishings.

  3. Remove the password.

  4. You can now open the link in Edge without a password.
Note that without password protection, anyone with access to the link can view the content.
