In Knowledgeworker Share, you can control how posts are assigned individually. To limit the period in which selected posts are assigned to users, use the "Enrolment period" feature. It determines the period during which learners are automatically enrolled through category-based assignment (matching) or curricula. This article explains how to use the enrolment period for automatic enrolment.

When creating a post, or when editing it later, choose a start date and an end date for the enrolment period. Within this defined period, all users in the selected target group are automatically enrolled in the post. This includes:
- users already in the system,
- users created during the enrolment period who match the target group, and
- users newly assigned to the target group when their category values change during the enrolment period.
If no start date is set, enrolments begin when the post is published. Without an end date, enrolments continue from the start of enrolment.
Once the enrolment period ends, no new users are enrolled and the post is not visible to them. It remains available to users who have already been enrolled after the enrolment period ends.
To inform users that the post is available when they are enrolled at the start of, or during, the enrolment period, activate the "Notify future participants" option when publishing the post or later in the advanced settings.
For more efficient work, you can adjust the default duration of the enrolment period under "General" > "Enrolment end date (in days)" in the system settings.
