If corrections or changes have been made to learning content in your Knowledgeworker Share system, you can update the relevant training post and make the latest content available to your users with little effort. This article explains what to consider when updating training content.
How to update your training content:
To update the learning content of a training post, select the required post under Administration > Manage posts, then open advanced post editing with "Edit post". On the "Content" tab, you can manage and update your course content.
In the "Update content" section, click the file icon. You can now upload the .zip file for the updated course and confirm the content update by clicking "Update". Finally, you are asked whether tracking data for previous enrolments should be deleted; you can confirm or decline this.
Observe the following points when updating learning content:
- The new or updated course must use the same format as the course already included in the post (SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, or HTML). Otherwise, it cannot be added.
- If structural changes have been made to the updated course, we recommend deleting the tracking data. This deletes the existing progress of all users who started, but have not yet completed, the course. It ensures that progress and the course result can be processed correctly.
The progress and results of users who have already completed the course successfully are not reset. You can delete a course's tracking data in advanced post editing under Administration > Manage posts > Edit post > Content > Delete tracking data. - You should delete tracking data for the following changes to a course: adding, replacing, or changing assessed questions, knowledge modules, learning objectives, and learning elements relevant to learning progress.
- Users who have not yet started the course are automatically enrolled in the new content version.
- If tracking data is not deleted, users who have already started the course remain enrolled in their older version and continue working on it.
- When the post is updated, all participants whose enrolment status is "Open" or "In progress" are notified. Participants who have already completed the post do not receive a notification.
- In the question report, the "Answers" tab shows only results from the latest course version. You can view answers from all course versions on the "Matrix" tab.
- When review mode is enabled, the content version in which the last attempt was completed is displayed.
- When practice mode is enabled, the latest course version is displayed.
